Our Method

Six parts to every study, in the same order, every time.

1

Relevant Passages

Two or three passages chosen for the situation you described, quoted accurately with book, chapter, verse, and translation so you can open your own Bible and check the work.

2

Historical Context

Who wrote it, to whom, and under what pressure. A verse means what it meant to its first hearers before it means anything to us.

3

Explanation

The plain sense of the text, including key words in the original language when they change the meaning. No jargon and no leaps.

4

Practical Application

One concrete step for this week — small enough to do, specific enough to notice. Not a list of ten things you'll never begin.

5

Reflection Questions

Three honest questions meant for a journal or a conversation with your spouse or a friend, not for a quiz.

6

Prayer

A written prayer in ordinary words you can pray as-is or make your own.

Where we stop

AbideWise will not tell you whether to leave a job, a church, or a marriage, and it is not counseling or medical care. When a situation calls for a person rather than a page, it will say so and point you toward your pastor or a licensed professional.
